Cappadocia
Cappadocia is a region in Turkey in Central Anatolia. It's main feature are these cave villiages, which were largely used by early christians as hiding places before they became an accepted religion in the region. Some people actually lived in some of the cave dwellings well into the 20th century, when the government decided it reflected poorly on their country. Some of the bigger dwellings were turned into quite nice hotels that can be stayed in. Most of these uderground cities are now exposed to the outside, and can be seen via air baloon tours. You can also go to the early christian churches carved out of the rocks, and view some of the artwork painted on the walls. So reserve a room and enjoy your experience today!
